I’m glad you’re here!
Hi - I am Brynn, I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), EMDR practitioner, and Mindfulness Instructor with a passion for supporting fellow humans to find more ease, compassion, and okayness amidst the challenges of daily life.
Since 2006 I have been weaving together the fields of Interpersonal Neurobiology, stress/trauma resiliency, attachment, mindfulness and somatic psychology to help individuals and groups increase resiliency and move towards more connected, creative and sustainable living.
I love working with folks one on one, creating that solid trusted ground to go deep, be real, and take risks from.
I love sharing this work through therapeutic groups and education on themes of mindfulness (MBCT), Emotions 101 / Change Triangle, and Somatic Resiliency Skills. I facilitate weekly Trauma Informed Mindfulness classes at The Hope Program in Brooklyn, a program that supports New Yorkers who have been out of the workforce in finding satisfying careers and lifelong community.
I especially love supporting folks in the role of helper, fellow therapists, healthcare workers, activists, and healers, parents, caregivers or anyone who struggles with the pulls between their big-hearted care for others and their often-silenced needs for themselves.
One of my favorite things to do is provide supervision to therapists who want to integrate mindfulness or somatics into their work.
I love connecting with organizations who are interested in recognizing and repairing the fatigue and burnout that often occurs with care work and want to build more mindful and sustainable ways of being in service.
Outside of work I love visiting the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, keeping a visual journal, dance parties with my 4 year old, and voraciously learning and growing through books, classes, experiments and connections with the beautiful people that populate my world.
You already have wings
